YouTube Niche Competitor Analyzer

Add 2 or 3 channels from the same niche and get one combined report - title style, description patterns, top tags, best time to post, thumbnail approach, and what viewers are actually asking for in the comments. Optionally add your own channel to see exactly where the gaps are between you and your competitors.

All channels in this run are analyzed in the same format - mixing Long-form and Shorts would blur the comparison.

What you get in the report

One combined section at the top showing the pattern across all channels you added - the shared title formula, the single best time to post across all of them, and a short set of specific observations about what is working in this niche and where a gap might be worth trying.

Below that, a breakdown for each channel you added covering: title style (the formula that channel uses most consistently), top tags (the tags that appear most frequently across recent uploads), description style (its structure and typical length pattern), thumbnail approach (the visual pattern across recent uploads), and what viewers are asking for (recurring topics and questions pulled from real comments).

If you added your own channel, a gap analysis section shows what competitors are doing that you are not, and what their audiences are asking for that you have not covered yet.

Why you pick one format per channel

Long-form and Shorts have different title lengths, posting rhythms, and audience expectations. Mixing them into one channel's analysis would blur every result instead of clarifying a pattern. Picking a format per channel up front keeps every finding specific to how that channel actually performs in that format.

Why compare channels instead of checking each one manually

A channel's habits only become a real niche pattern when you see two or three examples lined up together. If two unrelated channels independently land on a similar title formula or posting window, that is a much stronger signal than either channel showing it alone. This tool does that comparison in one report instead of requiring you to check each channel separately and keep notes.

Built for niche research, not subscription tracking

Most competitor tools focus on subscriber counts and view metrics you could already see on each channel's public page. This looks at packaging and audience signals instead - title and description patterns, tags, timing, thumbnails, and what is actually being asked for in the comments - across your specific competitors at once, in one report.

Who this is for

Creators who want to understand what is working in their niche before their next upload. Anyone comparing a small number of channels they would consider direct peers. Marketers scoping a niche quickly before a pitch. Creators deciding between two content directions who want to see what is already working for others in that space.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions about accounts, run limits, formats, and how the combined report is built.

Why do I need to create an account?

The analysis fetches and processes real data from YouTube - video metadata, timing patterns, and comments - for each channel you add. Requiring an account lets us protect that process from automated abuse and make sure each person gets a genuine, unhurried result rather than a rushed one from an overloaded system. The account is free and takes under a minute to create.

Why only one full run every 5 days?

Each run fetches recent videos, analyzes timing and title patterns, reads comments, and processes thumbnail patterns across every channel you add. That takes real resources. The 5-day window also means your results reflect a stable snapshot - running the same channels every day would mostly return the same findings with minor noise. Come back after 5 days and any meaningful shifts will show up.

Can I add my own channel?

Yes. There is an optional slot to add your own channel alongside the 2 or 3 competitors. When you do, the report adds a gap analysis section showing what competitors are doing that you are not, and what their audiences are asking for that you have not covered yet.

Why between 2 and 3 channels - why not just 1?

One channel shows you what that channel does. Two or three channels show you what the niche does. A pattern that appears in two unrelated channels independently is a real signal. A single channel's habit might just be that channel's personal style. The comparison is the point.

Can I compare a long-form channel against a Shorts channel?

Yes - each channel's format is selected independently. Each channel's analysis stays specific to the format you picked for it. The combined section merges results across all channels you added.

What does thumbnail approach mean exactly?

It describes the visual pattern across a channel's recent uploads - whether the creator appears on screen, whether text overlays are consistently present, and the general mood or color tone. The goal is identifying the channel's packaging habit, not grading its design quality.

How does the tool find what viewers are asking for in comments?

It reads real comments from recent uploads and surfaces topics or questions that come up repeatedly. A recurring question across several videos usually signals real unmet demand from that channel's audience - worth noticing either as a content gap or a confirmed interest you could address.

How is the combined best time to post calculated?

It finds where the individual channels' best times genuinely overlap or sit closest together. If the channels diverge significantly, the report says so rather than forcing a misleading single answer.

What happens if I try to run the tool before my 5 days are up?

Your previous report is still shown exactly as it was. You will also see when your next run becomes available. Nothing is lost - the report stays accessible until you run a new one.
