A channel's go-to tags - the ones it leans on video after video - say more about its niche and target keywords than any single video's tag list. Filtering to Shorts or long-form separately matters too: many channels tag those two formats completely differently, and mixing them together hides that pattern entirely.

Those overlapping tags are the closest thing to a niche's actual core keywords.
